Report Updated July 2nd , 2008
Lake Cumberland fishing report for July 1st, 2008. The water temp
is about 80 degrees on the main lake. The best fishing right now
is for stripers. They are schooling in large schools on the main
lake and have been feeding very good. We have been limiting out
almost everyday fast on alewife herring fished 25 to 40 feet. We
have been pulling planer boards in the middle of the main lake which
is normal for this time of year. I have started using a new planer
board which is working very well. If you are intrested send me a
e-mail and I will give you the information on them. The bass
fishing has been tough lately with the night bite being the best.
The walleye have been biting really good on the main lake on bottom
bouncers and night crawlers fished 15 to 25 feet. The crappie are
also doing good 15 to 25 feet deep. Good luck and get out and
enjoy a great day on the water.
