Florida Fishing Discussion Board

Report Updated May 16, 2008

Summer Blues? Not on lake Toho or the Kissimmee Chain.
Lots of winter visitors and snowbirds have left to go back north in hopes of cranking up the outboard and breaking out the fishing gear in anticipation of heading out to a local lake for some fishing.
What they left is some of the best fishing still to come here in central Florida. Sure the Bas have moved out side the grass, but all for the better as they are more concentrated and easier to stay with for some great action and good numbers and size.
These past 2 weeks have seen clients catching 20 to 30 bass both early mornings as well as afternoon trips. Beautiful weather and great fishing. What could you ask for. May and June are always good months for Brim and Shellcrackers and as these move into deeper water, so goes the bass.

Saltwater is also opening up to some fast action as we move into May and June. Tarpon have moved up the river and catches of 6 to 8 per trip this week was sure to please both amateur as well as novice angler. Artificial and Fly both produce as they feed ivn the shadows of fallen timber and docks. The sounds they make while feeding makes for an exciting moment in anticipation of that take on your next cast. What a thrill .
Join us for some exciting and fast action as we venture into old Florida in search of Florida premier shallow water predators. You will be glad you did.
